Gujarat Titans left it late to face Punjab Kings in their last Indian Premier League encounter as they picked up three wins in the franchise competition and can add Sunrisers Hyderabad to their list of scalps.
Rahul Tewatia hit six on each of the final two balls to give the Titans the win last time out after previously dispatching Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals.
Still, to lose a game this year, they certainly don’t look like a team playing their very first IPL season and they should be able to teach Hyderabad a thing or two inconsistently when the teams meet at DY Patil Stadium.
The Sunrisers finally recorded their first IPL win of the season on Saturday, but it was against an out-of-form Chennai Super Kings side and they were hardly groundbreaking in the crease.
Hyderabad have recorded totals of 149, 157 and 155 so far this season, while Gujarat have one of the division’s best willow carriers at their disposal in Shubman Gill, who has managed 180 runs in three matches.
