Overview

Hibernian held Celtic to a 0-0 draw on Sunday but the Hibees could be on their own at the end of a clash at Dens Park on Wednesday.

The visitors fought admirably against the Bhoys but managed just 39 per cent possession and it’s possible their efforts over the weekend could catch them in Dundee.

Hibs lost Martin Boyle in the January transfer window and compatriot Kevin Nisbet suffered a serious injury over the weekend, leaving boss Shaun Maloney with a dilemma up front. Apart from this pair, no other Hibs player has scored more than two league goals this season, so it’s hard to see how they will be replaced.

Dundee are bottom of the Scottish Premiership and their 4-0 loss to Livingston on Saturday inspires little confidence. However, new manager Mark McGhee will have had more time to work with his team and captain Charlie Adam should be fit to return.

The hosts’ chances of avoiding defeat aren’t as low as the prices suggest.

Ross County won 3-1 against St Johnstone on Saturday, but they gave up 15 shots in that game and Motherwell is unlikely to be as charitable as the Saints.

The Staggies have allowed 58 shots on goal in their last four matches and have won just three of their 14 away league games this season.

Motherwell will bounce back from snatching a draw at Ibrox on Sunday and the Steelmen can get another positive result.
