Lucid Optics sponsors Katelynn Wheeler

Lucid Optics has announced that the company will be sponsoring 3-gun contestant Katelynn Wheeler.

Missouri-based high school student Katelynn Wheeler is becoming more prominent in the competitive 3-gun shooting community. She first became interested in the sport after helping out in matches for her local shooting range. Two years ago, she had her first match at the Blue Line 3-Gun Event in Cross Timbers, Missouri.

“Range officers and match builders have onboarded me as one of their own. Not only was I able to shoot with the match staff, but I was able [work as a Range Officer at] the game too,” Wheeler said. “It had become the best experience I had had with shooting sports and the minute I pulled the trigger; I knew that was what I wanted to do for years to come.

Since then Wheeler has continued to shoot in 3 shot matches, gaining experience and also increasing his love for the sport. She has placed in every match she has gone to and hopes to continue improving her skills this season.

Additionally, Wheeler holds honors in her academic and extracurricular high school career. She has a GPA of 3,968 and is an honor roll member, principal’s award recipient, and student council member. She is active in Future Business Leaders of America, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, and Future Farmers of America. She also has 13 years of livestock show experience with numerous awards to her name.

“Lucid Optics is proud to sponsor Katelynn Wheeler in her competitive 3-gun shooting course,” said Jason Wilson of Lucid Optics. “We believe in the commitment, work ethic and firearms industry appreciation that competitive shooting sports provide. We are happy to help a younger generation embrace these values while pursuing a passion for sport.
