The Arizona Cardinals managed to keep the winning column going while star quarterback Kyler Murray was injured and now they have both Murray and top receiver DeAndre Hopkins back in full swing.
The Cardinals have lost just two games this season – a three-point loss to the Packers, which is no shame, and a heavy loss to the Panthers in one game when quarterback replacement Colt McCoy s ‘is found to be below the required level.
Murray and Hopkins came back from injuries last week against Chicago and Arizona earned an easy 33-22 victory that was even more comfortable than the final score suggests.
Murray had just 15 passing attempts but had two touchdown passes, including one to Hopkins, who only had one other reception. Expect to see them both step up this week in a key NFC West game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Cardinals won this season’s opener 37-20 in Week 4, the first result that made the rest of the league sit down and start noticing in their 7-0 start to the year. .
The Rams are not playing so well now, losing three in their last four games, and they are facing offensive injuries.
Arizona’s defense ranks fifth in the NFL against passing, third for passing yards allowed and third for least in rushing touchdowns allowed.
The Rams have covered handicap in just one of their last six games and two of their last seven on the road. Take Arizona to finish a season sweep over its division rivals.
