Team News
Arsenal
Fabio Vieira, Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all doubts for Arsenal, who could start with the same team that beat Crystal Palace last Friday.
Leicester
The Foxes should be without Ricardo Pereira, Harvey Barnes and Ryan Bertrand.
Match preview
Few teams looked sharper than Arsenal in the first round of Premier League fixtures last weekend and the Gunners can follow up their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace with a victory over Leicester at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s men justified the hype around them in pre-season with an electric start to the game at Selhurst Park, taking a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes and holding off Palace pressure after the break before doubling their advance.
Leicester, meanwhile, lost a two-goal advantage at home to Brentford on Sunday and failed to impress on their outings last campaign. Only four of their 14 league wins have come on the road.
Another Arsenal win looks likely, but to get more value out of this contest, backing a home win and over 2.5 goals could be beneficial. Only Manchester City’s games (3.29) averaged more goals per game than Leicester’s (3.18) in the Premier League last season.
Key stat
Five of Arsenal’s last six Premier League wins have scored over 2.5 goals.
