Since its release in 2017, GT Sport developers Polyphony Digital have continued to expand the game through a series of free releases.
The game added Lewis Hamilton’s 2017 Mercedes late last year in one of its most prominent additions.
The stream of updates came after initial reviews that GT Sport was lacking in offline content, but progressive releases helped stabilize the course and improve its popularity.
Appearing in GT Sport, it is believed to be the first time Goodwood has been recreated in a contemporary video game, with the full 2.4 mile circuit included.
Goodwood’s hill climb course first appeared in Gran Turismo 6, a PlayStation exclusive.
A statement from Gran Turismo stated: “The course encompasses Chichester / Goodwood Airport, and unlike many modern circuits, [it] is surrounded by idyllic landscapes.
“The course is remarkable as a high speed course, with a number of medium and high speed turns.
“With its high percentage at full throttle and a good mix of elevation changes, this course is sure to see some really thrilling racing action.”
GT Sport update 1.39 is live now, meaning players can now race at Goodwood starting Thursday.
Other updates in the latest version include 11 new challenges.
The Gran Turismo version added that: “There will be several other features, improvements and fixes implemented in this update. “
